Bobby T: Master of 'Cue
Bob Trudnak, better known as Bobby T, is the Master of ’Cue, winner of Season 7 ofBBQ Brawl on Food Network, an award-winning pitmaster, live-fire cooking instructor, product developer, and entrepreneur. With more than 25 years of experience in the food industry, Bobby has built a reputation for creating competition-crafted BBQ sauces, seasonings, and gourmet products that bring championship flavor to backyard cooks and competition teams alike. A world champion pitmaster and certified pizzaiolo, he has taught live-fire cooking across the United States and internationally while inspiring thousands through cooking demonstrations, competitions, and media appearances. Whether he’s developing new products, teaching classes, or sharing recipes, Bobby’s mission is simple: bring families together around great food, unforgettable flavors, and the joy of cooking.
The Early Days
It all began in his childhood home where Bob Trudnak was the oldest of four children. His mother was a homemaker, and his father worked three jobs to support the family. Most Sundays were spent barbecuing at the local state park, near their home in the hills of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania – population 5,100.
Sundays were his father’s only day off, and he would spend it barbecuing at the park's charcoal grills. Bob says watching his father's unselfish sacrifice taught him how important selfless contribution is to a family's well-being.
When Bob was seven, his dad placed him "in charge" of putting charcoal in the grill. "From that day forward,” he says. “I was hooked on barbecue."
